In 2026, four out of every 10 mobile phone connections will be Five-G-supported. And this year alone, more than 100 million people, or more than 15 percent of the world's population, will be covered by Five-G coverage, but the Five-G connection will be about 22 million. This has been speculated in the latest edition of the Ericsson Mobility Report.
Ericsson's report further states that by 2028, 80 percent of the world's population will be covered by Five-G coverage and the Five-G connection is expected to reach 300 billion. Five-G will be the second most popular mobile phone network technology in Southeast Asia and Oceania after the Four-G LTE in 2028. In the second half of this year, Five-G will be launched commercially in Southeast Asia and Oceania, including live networks in Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. Seen. Abdus Salam, head of Ericsson Bangladesh, said that Five-G is being launched in different countries. Meanwhile, the pace of expansion of Four-G (LTE) network around the world, including Bangladesh, is still continuing. By 2020, more than 70 percent of the world's population is expected to be covered by Four-G coverage.
The five-G expansion will not be limited to mobile phone connections and networks, the report said. Rather new uses will be added. In particular, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud gaming technology will increase. Meanwhile, according to Ericsson Consumer Lab's new Five-G Consumer Potential Report, the global Five-G consumer market value will reach 31 trillion US dollars by 2030. Communications service providers (CSPs) will earn a total of ৠ3.7 trillion. With the rise of new opportunities in digital services, this amount of revenue is likely to increase further.
The report estimates that by 2030, Five-G active subscribers in Southeast Asia and Oceania will be able to earn 29.6 billion in revenue. By 2030, the Five-G broadband-based service market will reach about 22.9 billion. Of the overall service providers, 69 percent of Five-G digital services will have a revenue of 6.5 billion by 2030. Five-G digital services include video, music, gaming, augmented and virtual reality and consumer IoT services.
